Energy systems is a very niche field. Although you can probably do something similar within ECE, I'm not too familiar with that area and you should do your research before making the decision that is right for you.

Personally, I specialized in Machine Intelligence (got pretty lucky since I was the first cohort when the option started in 2018). If I were to go to university again, I would've chosen computer science or computer engineering instead.
